What is a Timestream?

Timestream is an educational software that enables Genocide Watch to create detailed, interactive timelines for case studies. Our Timestreams chronologically map events of historical or emerging genocides and mass atrocities. Timestreams are intended to be educational resources for anyone seeking a better understanding of past and current genocides and how they unfold.

How Do I Use it?

  • Click "View" to access the Timestream then click "Start" to begin the presentation

  • Advance Timestream by clicking on next slide title at bottom.

  • For Teachers: Powerpoint presentations are available for download on the first slide of each Timestream presentation.

  • For Timeline View or Map View, click on the "Views" tab on the top dropdown menu.

We are currently working on more Timestreams. Check back periodically for any new additions!
