There has been no accountability in the aftermath of the Tigrayan Genocide during Ethiopia's 2020-2022 civil war. Today, amidst rising tensions between Ethiopia and Eritrea, many fear a violent escalation. Furthermore, persecution of Tigrayans continues with arbitrary detentions and restrictions on movement. State-sanctioned violence against people in the Amhara and Oromo regions, alongside active conflict with the OLA and the Fano Militia, pose additional threats to civilians.
