Détails

The Dominican Republic has a long-standing history of Haitian discrimination, which dates back to the 1937 Haitian Massacre. Haitians and Dominicans of Haitian descent face issues like racial profiling, deportations, and nationality-related discrimination. Other human rights concerns include discrimination against LGBTQIA+ people, gender-based violence, and human trafficking. Perpetrators include law enforcement, state authorities, xenophobic groups, and individuals who exploit minorities and vulnerable populations.
