Genocide Watch staff have published the nineteenth Timestream in a series of critical genocides in the world.
This Timestream illustrates the history of Rodrigo Duterte's leadership in the Philippines and how his policies have resulted in countless deaths and human rights abuses. It is estimated that nearly 27,000 people have been killed since Duterte became president in 2016. Duterte's ascension to the presidency has created an ever-growing opposition; however, there has been little push-back against his administration and Duterte continues to persecute those who attempt to oppose him. Until the ICC and other international governing bodies get involved, Duterte will likely continue his course in punishing any resistance.
