Somalia is in the midst of a conflict between the Somali Federal Government and the terrorist group Al-Shabaab. Al-Shabaab is responsible for mass attacks as well as blocking humanitarian aid, even as Somalia is on the verge of famine. Civilians, including journalists and women in internally-displaced persons camps, face persecution and violence.
